A wealthy married woman is nominated as Attorney General for the state of Montana. Her husband doesn't take this seriously at all, but she does. It is mostly here of a war between sexes tale than anything else. A social story which I suppose was inspired by actual events that occurred some decades ago. An amusing and interesting comedy but not what I crave the most for, I admit. Lewis Allen does the best he can in this story. He was more convinced in crime or mystery tales than in this kind of scheme. A politic tale that could make you think of some other features such as John Ford's THE LAST HURRAH.
Good time waster for all kind of audiences.
