Though it was initially expected to comprise nine episodes, Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star have wrapped up their epic docuseries, The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star, with seven total installments. The feature-length season finale, which dropped on Friday, clocked in at roughly 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The briefer-than-anticipated episode count initially left some fans nonplussed -- especially because the trailer for the series comprised scenes from Dramageddon 2.0 -- a so-coined event in the beauty community involving the explosive friendship dissolution between Tati Westbrook and James Charles. However, after Dawson's Conspiracy Collection hit shelves and sold out -- the creation of which was chronicled in Beautiful World -- Dawson appeared in a disheveled Instagram Live where he discussed his uncertainty about how to proceed with the series, expressing concern about dredging up old drama.
In the end, Dawson did briefly address Dramageddon -- though with surface-level treatment in which he showcased his...

Word to the wise: when one of the biggest creators in YouTube history makes a multi-part docuseries chronicling a collaboration with the platform’s biggest beauty channel, a staggering number of fans are going to want to buy it.
Beauty mogul Jeffree Star, the subject of Shane Dawson’s latest series, The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star, took to his Instagram Stories yesterday to update fans on the future of the Conspiracy Collection after its gobstopping -- and technically-challenged -- debut last Friday. Despite the fact that demand for the items crashed Shopify for several hours, (which will be chronicled in episode seven of the series), the makeup range — comprising eyeshadow palettes, lip products, and accessories — sold out in its entirety.
Star notes that the release shattered a record for Jeffree Star Cosmetics (Jsc), with 1 million total palettes sold in roughly 30 minutes. In the past, Jsc palette launches have vended...

Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star, and the duo’s legions of fans are losing their collective minds on social media after the launch of their long-awaited Conspiracy Collection has hit a serious technical snafu.
The issue, which is preventing consumers from purchasing the collection, appears to be with the ecommerce host that powers the Jeffree Star Cosmetics (Jsc) website: Shopify. According to numerous users on Twitter, technical issues began to appear shorty after the launch at 1pm Et, and have been ongoing for roughly the past three hours. Demand for the Conspiracy Collection -- the development of which Dawson and Star have been chronicling in a massively-viewed series titled The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star -- was apparently so overwhelming that Shopify crashed.
"I just screamed on a conference call and now I’m crying 'cause I feel bad that I screamed,” Dawson tweeted amid numerous missives today in which he...

After roughly a year of anticipation and hours of docuseries content -- including boundary-breaking glimpses into the machinations behind today’s makeup industry and countless emotionally-charged moments of both awe- and cringe-inducing vulnerability -- Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star’s Conspiracy Collection is here.
The makeup range, which serves as the holiday outing for Jeffree Star Cosmetics (Jsc) -- in an increasingly influencer-dominated makeup market -- launches on Friday and was inspired by Dawson’s abiding love for conspiracy theories, which he has covered on his channel for years. The collection was revealed in the sixth episode of The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star, which has amassed 7.6 million views since being posted last night and is standing tall at No. 1 on YouTube's 'Trending' tab.
The flagship item in the collection is the $52, 18-shade Conspiracy palette, which has no cohesive color story but does boast several cleverly-named shades inspired by...

Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star To Fete Beauty Collab At Mall Of America, As Series Production Is Ongoing
Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star are about to have something of a full-circle moment.
The debut episode of Dawson’s docuseries, The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star, saw the YouTube vet trailing Star at a Sacramento public appearance for Morphe -- the beauty brand and retailer that carries Star’s product line and with which he has also collaborated on makeup collections. In that episode, the duo hopped aboard Star’s private plane and Dawson dutifully cowered in disbelief at the throngs of fans who had turned up for the event.
Now, he’s now about to headline his own Morphe meet-and-greet. On Nov. 2, the day after Dawson and Star’s beauty collab hits shelves, the duo will appear at the Mall Of America in Minnesota to greet customers and tout the collaboration, which appears to comprise two eyeshadow palettes, six liquid lipsticks, and various makeup bags and other accessories.

In the latest episode of The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star, docu-host Shane Dawson unveiled the full rundown of the beauty collection he’s releasing in partnership with his subject. The duo also announced a drop date. Though the collection will be conspiracy theory-themed, Dawson has opted to release the collection after Halloween, on Nov. 1, so as not to be perceived as a seasonal item but instead a year-round staple.
The collection’s hero item is an 18-shade ‘Conspiracy’ eyeshadow palette, as well as a mini nine-shade ‘Controversy’ palette. In terms of lips, there will be six liquid lipsticks and one clear gloss -- which Star says will also serve as a hero item. The makeup products will be accessorized by a pig-shaped makeup mirror and several pig-shaped makeup bags.
Star and Dawson unveiled the slate on a call with retail partner Morphe, which, in order to vend the items...

The Jeffree Star-ification of Shane Dawson is in full effect.
Amid the rollout of their second docuseries, of which three episodes are available to date, Dawson has launched a new online merch storefront with Killer Merch, a production and distribution firm in which Star is a co-owner, and which supplies merch services for other massive stars like Kevin Hart, Lil Dicky, and the Tiny Meat Gang. Dawson appears to have previously worked with Amazon on his merch -- a partnership he bemoaned in The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star, after Star promised him a more advantageous revenue split.
An assortment of 15 products -- including tees, fleece, accessories, and head-wear -- went on sale today. Myriad designs are available -- a crudely animated pig, a Ouija board-inspired graphic, and items that read both ‘Oh My God’ and ‘Editeaing’. Products range in price from $18 for a phone case to $80 for a pig-shaped backpack.

While the second episode of Shane Dawson’s The Beautiful World Of Jeffree Star felt vaguely like an infomercial for the eyeshadow palette and accessories collection that the two are slated to launch this holiday season, Star -- who has never been shy about flaunting his financials -- did share some telling details about his lucrative cosmetics empire and the moneymaking potential of the collab.
For instance, Star, who has previously said that his eponymous cosmetics company clocks $150 million in annual revenues, revealed that he personally took home roughly $20.8 million in earnings from his most successful palette to date, the Blood Sugar palette.
Star also talked a bit about the way that mark-ups work across the industry as a whole -- or the gap between how much it costs for Jeffree Star Cosmetics to produce and distribute an item and what it ultimately sells for. Star alleges that compared to competitors,...
