This documentary takes us into the world of Molotov who is a new avatar entering the online social network site - Second Life. The film follows the beginnings of his new life and what he has to give up in order to live in that world. He struggles with the separation between his new life and his former life but ultimately falls into the new life and begins to live as he would normally. Inevitably, that life leads him back to real questions about existence and the creator. We leave him as he continues his search for the creator of this new world.
I found this to be an interesting look into a world that most people either love or don't! I give the director credit for diving headfirst into his experience and not making this a film about criticizing or accepting the life people choose to have in these internet social groups. He made it seem like his interest for the people he encountered were genuine and non-judgmental Worth the 35 minutes it took to watch. I would be interested in watching additional footage, which I hope is included on the DVD, or am curious if the plan is to have a follow-up because my only complaint was the ending sort of left me hanging...
