Storyline

Jeannie II returns and says that she can finally help her sister get Tony to marry her. She shows her how easy it is to get a man to fall in love without the aid of magic. To this end Jeannie II uses Roger as her guinea pig. Eventually she gets Roger to propose, and when Jeannie tries to use the same technique on Tony she fails miserably. However, it turns out that this is just another scheme by Jeannie II to finally get Tony into her clutches. Written by Brian Washington <Sargebri@att.net>

Trivia

Barbara Eden's cries for help from inside the champagne bottle were real. As a prank, director Claudio Guzmán called "lunch!" and had everyone leave the set, leaving Eden trapped in the bottle. While everyone waited in a nearby hallway, the cameras kept rolling, and the resulting footage was shown on TV. See more »

Sixth appearance of Jeannie's sister
30 October 2016 | by (Youngstown,Ohio) – See all my reviews

"How to Marry an Astronaut" marked the fifth appearance of Jeannie's brunette sister, whose latest scheme to claim Tony for herself involves pursuing girl crazy Roger as a husband. He's not convinced that she's interested in him, and won't give up his best friend, but the prospect of having his own genie proves irresistible. Jeannie follows her sister's instructions but hasn't the same success with her master. As the wedding day nears, a tearful Jeannie refuses to deny her sister the opportunity to marry Roger, but manages to outsmart her during the ceremony at the Bellows home. She does try to duplicate the same conditions, with herself as the bride, Major Nelson as the groom. One of the lesser entries for Jeannie II.
