Great plot based on the most intriguing marital art novel by Jinyong alternative name: "The Return of the Condor Heroes". The main themes are love and fellowship.
The series have great scenes which are mainly shot at "Nine bends river" in China, it probably has the best pictures for any marital art TV series. If you have never being to "Nine bends river" this TV series could give you a mini tour to the fairyland of China.
Great portray of characters especially the character Xiaolongnv, outstanding performance by the actress. She has made the Xiaolongnv come alive from the novel. She has fulfill every detail every imagination of this character. Xiaolongnv emotionless and unconcernedly towards the world towards life and death due to the martial art she studies, but after meeting Yangguo, she discovery love for him and changed her ever since.
The way they designed Xiaolongnv's martial arts was very interesting, a lot wire hanging was involved you will see Xiaolongnv flies around like butterfly. The way she used swords and her weapons is like see a girl doing ballets, very entertaining.
The original series was 52 episodes but cut down due to limits by CCTV china, some parts wasn't well connected. But overall the series is quite enjoyable.
