Storyline

The city suffers a wave of robberies, which Lassiter fails to solve. The police chief still assigns Shawn to her priority, finding a nanny as her baby keeps her agonizingly awake all night. Shawn largely passes that to Gus, snoops about the robberies and soon suspects a link. The case moves into prominence after a murder. No single nanny fits the bill, but the most trusted nanny agency might. Written by KGF Vissers

Trivia

The Red Balloon Agency is a reference to the song "99 Red Balloons" by Nena. The song can be heard when Shawn fake proposes to Juliet and Gus interviews some of the nannies. See more »

Goofs

Shawn takes pictures of the crime scene photos on Lassiter's desk using his Motorola RAZR phone, pressing the same button rapidly to take several pictures in a row. However, this particular model of phone requires the user to save and name each picture individually before being allowed to take another; it would be impossible to take multiple shots so quickly. Quotes

Henry Spencer: All right, which one?
Shawn Spencer: [points to a house] That one.
Henry Spencer: Yeah? Well, that's a stupid house to rob.
[beat]
Shawn Spencer: Does anyone live up to your standards? Maybe we can get ahold of the burglar's number. You can call him, tell him how disappointed you are.
