Storyline

It's turning out to be a not so very Merry Christmas for Brenda. In the midst of trying to sell her house by putting up Christmas decorations (per her real estate agent's recommendation), Chief Pope transfers an eleven-month-old armored car robbery investigation from a less than pleased Commander Taylor to Brenda and her team. The latest in the most recent string of robberies (producing two fatalities) has Brenda believing it to be an inside job, confirmed when the only survivor, Wesley Reed, though shot, promptly disappears from the hospital and LA. Finding Wesley's little brother Grady left behind, Brenda traces Wesley all the way back to his home in Atlanta. Brenda and Fritz go to pick him up, ostensibly staying with Brenda's parents for Christmas. They're happy to see her but soon recognize she has come on business and not to see them. A great Christams episode
3 December 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

There just isn't anyone that can make Brenda Lee Johnson come to life like Kyra Sedgwick. Through 41 episodes of this show, she has thrilled us with her performances. This episode tonight is no exception, as we see how she deals with the dirtier part of her job.

We also get to see her parents again. That is always fun as Frances Sternhagen and Barry Corbin are just plain fun in their roles. I am looking forward to seeing Corbin in In the Valley of Elah and No Country for Old Men, and Sternhagen in The Mist.

James Duff has truly given us some of the best drama on TV. He needs to get back to work soon and keep going.
