Storyline

Covered in blood, Réjeanne Poulin is in a near comatose state as she, a suspect, is being questioned by the police into the death of her husband, Gilles Dubuc, whose gunshot dead body was found in their home. After she is transferred to a psychiatric hospital and as the police investigate the death, Réjeanne and Gilles' story is told in flashback starting approximately two years earlier when they, then a telephone operator and a long haul trucker respectively both who were making a decent living, bought their modest dream house in idyllic Beloeil, Québec, just outside of Montréal. Their world as they know it starts to disintegrate first when Gilles suffers a stroke. Although Réjeanne can handle the additional work during his recuperation, it's his despondent nature that is more difficult with which to deal. Her already resulting fragile mental state takes a further hit due to some corporate restructuring in her company. These events in combination lead to Réjeanne and Gilles dealing ... It started really great but then
19 November 2016 | by (Canada) – See all my reviews

First thing I have to say that I've hated all the cheap fade to black transition. There was so many and it just broke the atmosphere. Second thing I've disliked is the bad acting performance of the officer who ask everyone all along the movie. These are small things and do not justify a 6 out of 10. Well the film begins really greatly until the second ACV. This is where the movie starts to get long lasting. The good beat they've implemented at the start is broken at this point and it's really hard to keep intrigued. At that point we can also confirm what will happen in the end. They just gave too much information. The movie lost me there. Just a movie to get sad as there's no incredible end with a big surprise. It's just what you'll probably think that happened that will eventually happen. I'm sad it turn out like that, it was really great at some point. Still there's such beautiful landscape, camera plan and views of real Quebec. I cannot rate this movie under 6. But it's definitely not a 6.1... No more than 6! Hope you'll enjoy it more than me as I can tell that the only thing this movie gave me in the end is : Being sad while watching beautiful scenes of Quebec.
