"Calleigh Duquesne" is involved in a very dramatic opening scene and then the team has to prove she acted properly. Does this sound familiar? It seems like almost everyone on the CSI-Miami team has been investigated and accused of everything under the sun. It was really bad the first few years regarding Horatio. Later, "Eric Delko" had his problems being investigated and so has about everyone else on the CSI-Miami team. TV cop shows love to show Internal Affairs people as despicable bad guys, always trying to pin something on the good-guy cops. It's become a cliché.

Calleigh (Emily Proctor) is enjoying a day off and gets her in car when some unseen thug pulls up beside her and sticks a gun at her. After our blonde heroine pulls her gun out and then gets it knocked out of her hand when the other car speeds away, things really escalate. The next thing you know the bad guy-auto is turning around down the street and coming back after her. Miss Duquesne stands her ground, fires off several shots and the car crashes into a store. By the way, all of this is done with nobody out in the streets or sidewalks. Where is everyone? It's the middle of the day! The driver is dead and another man left by foot. A woman is found dead next to the car. She was in the store. Later, we find out she wasn't run over by the car but was dead before the vehicle rammed through the glass storefront.

The rest of the story involves getting Calleigh cleared of any wrongdoing (since he had a few drinks prior to all this happening) and then finding out about the dead bystander. The latter becomes a drug story; people selling kids drugs at school, to be more precise. That angle actually begins to take center stage in the second half of this episode, almost to the point we forget about Miss Duquesne's plight.

All in all, a pretty interesting episode.
