Storyline

Manny Ortega falls to from a skyscraper. When the new (post-Woods) MPD pathologist arrives and thinks Ortega is still breathing, the CSI team is shot at, she instantly killed and replaced by Dr. Thomas Wellner. At the apartment he fell from a blood stain is found from ATF agent Evan Caldwell, who claims Manny was a rogue informer on illegal ammo trade. Ammo supplier Brad Gower claims to hand-check every bullet under a lucrative 'discrete' deal with Uncle Sam, but it turns out to be an illegal, explosive type. After his confessions he too is shot. Caldwell provides Manny's client list, which includes Julia's new husband Ron Saris, so Horatio convinces her to take their disappointed son Kyle in safety abroad, but he neglected one revenge warning too many. Goofs

About 1/2 way through the episode, Calleigh discovers the rounds used earlier were made in 1969, from a former Soviet Bloc country, and used black powder. She claims that it is illegal to sell old ammunition from those countries. In truth, no modern firearm ammunition (post 1900) would ever have been made with black powder, because it will not cycle modern semi-automatic guns reliably, as well as being so dirty that it would foul up any semi-auto very quickly, rendering it useless. Also, it is quite legal to import old (or new) ammunition from former Soviet Bloc countries, and can be purchased currently in many places. See more »

Awesome

This episode was a great way to end this season, I really don't think Horatio is going to die. I will defiantly watch the 7th season starting March 24th because who doesn't want to find out who shot Horatio, at the end of this episode the writers left plenty of clues, You see Kyle load a gun right before Horatio was shot, you see a man in jail on the phone telling the person on the other end of the line to say when 'it's done' and Julia steps out before they have to leave to meet Horatio and Ryan steps out of a meeting early to then after Horatio gets shot Ryan gets a text message saying 'it's done' The strange part is...that Ron is not around at the end of the episode, I find that quite peculiar, I know that Ron is a bad mad, and if he actually kills Kyle or Horatio or any of the CSI's I will be so sad, I may even consider not watching the show.
