Storyline

Rising baseball star Greg 'The Legend' Tanner's bride Susan Alston is shot by a sniper during their grand white wedding before she can say yes. Greg is rushed off in the limousine by his private bodyguard Duane Cross, whose licensed gun is missing one bullet. However Greg 'confesses' to Susan's death and blames a deranged fan, who feared his wedding would upset the team, especially the link with his boisterous buddy and wedding witness Russell 'Bad Boy' Brooks. Female DNA and glitter under Susan's fingernails lead to the exclusive strip-club where Greg's bachelor party was held; entertainer Kelly Chapman says she gave Susan a lap-dance and Duane fired his gun to stop the commotion after Greg threw banknotes around. A diamond on the bride's $1,8000,000 veil, which should have saved her life, fragmented as it's fake; the designer proves it's a replica and traces the real one- to the car booth of Greg's agent who claims he's owed even more by Greg. Dancer Lexa Knowles approaches Eric, ... Written by KGF Vissers

Goofs

The bride was shot because she was between the gun and the intended target. The gun was located under a limousine (about 6 inches high) and was aimed at a homing device on the targets chair back (about 2 1/2 feet high). With both the gun and target so low, the bride should have been hit in the leg and not the head where she was hit and killed. See more »

Striking Visuals Help Make Up For A Baseball Story That Hits A Foul Ball
17 October 2008 | by (Lockport, NY, United States) – See all my reviews

As the title kind of hints, this isn't one of the better-written stories but it offers the usual tremendous visuals. The photography, camera angles and incredible colors make this a show to watch on DVD. I wouldn't watch it any other way, expect when re-runs are shown in HD on TV. I don't watch much TV anymore but it's hard to imagine a television more colorful, literally, than this one.

This particular episode is another one of these "pushing the envelope" shows in which some sexy scenes are things you wouldn't see a few years ago on television. It makes we wonder what's in store several years from now. I'm thinking mainly of a "gentlemen's (a.k.a. strip) club scene with two women. Later, with a twist that involves the Major League baseball star, is not exactly in good taste, either.

Whatever. The story is about that baseball star getting married in a nice outdoor setting and his bride being shot right before the "I do's." The bullet goes through her fake diamond veil (the agent had the real one worth millions as back payment) and the CSI team has to figure out who killed the woman. It becomes apparent she was an accidental killing as the bullet ricocheted and killed her. Who was the target and who was the shooter? The best thing was how the bullet was fired and the worst thing was the lame explanation of the why it was done. Oh, well, at least show looked good.
