- Warrick Brownlow-Pike: [as skekSil] Thank you very much, Yergin. I'm sure that's fine.
- Yergin: No, no, no. One thing.
- Warrick Brownlow-Pike: [as skekSil] No? One more thing? What?
- [Yergin comes back with a bottle]
- Yergin: Open wide.
- Warrick Brownlow-Pike: [as skekSil] Ah...
- [Yergin sprays the puppet's mouth. Warrick makes skekSil smack his beak]
- Yergin: There you go.
- Warrick Brownlow-Pike: [as skekSil] Tasty.
- Simon Pegg: It's nice to see the CG technology used collaboratively with the puppets, so the whole thing feels very true to 'The Dark Crystal'. It is, first and foremost, a puppet-led thing. But there are tiny little things you can do. Like, in the original film, not that it mattered, and not that I cared, and not that it was ever a thing, but, occasionally, you can see a rod now and again, you know? Not that that means, 'Oh, wait a minute, there's a rod, it's not real', you now it's not real, it's a puppet show. You should be able to see all the rods, really. But what they can do now is they can remove that stuff, add blinks, ad little bits and bobs which give them a little bit more life and presence, and just... help a little bit with the magic trick that it is.
- Simon Pegg: Particularly when you have as skilled a puppeteer as Warrick, who... who does all those little head moves and stuff, and... you can see how he's talking when you're watching the playback. I've got a lot of help from all over the place, yeah. Warrick's interpretation, his movements. The-the incredible sort of visuals that I'm looking at.
- Warrick Brownlow-Pike: I was certainly trying to follow on from Frank's performance in the movie. And... And get that kind of... sleazy, snaky, fluid movement. It's a really distinctive performance.
- Victor Yerrid: Hi, I'm in a Skeksis. Isn't it fun?
- [Everyone laughs]
- Victor Yerrid: It's very dark and sweaty in here. Yay.
- Erik Wilson: [standing next to the skekAyuk puppet Louise Gold has finished being fitted into] Go where I can see you. I'll be on the other side.
- [Louise makes skekAyuk look at him. Wilson sees skekAyuk and jumps back in fright]
