In the season 2 episode 2 Inspector Brackenreid says he is from Doncaster, England. In real life, Thomas Craig, who plays the inspector was actually born in Sheffield, England; the two places are only 25 miles away from each other.
Peter Outerbridge, who plays Father Keegan, originated the on-screen role of William Murdoch in the three made-for-television movies collectively known as The Murdoch Mysteries (2004).
Peter Kelegan who plays the recurring character of Terrance Myers, and Micheal Seater who plays the recurring character of James Gillies played father and son respectively on 18 to Life.
