Trivia

The President and her daughter were discussing possible replacements for the Chief of Staff and the two names they threw out were Robert H. Justman and Rick Berman. Bob Justman was a producer on Star Trek (1966) and both were producers on Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987). Brannon Braga, also a former producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation, is currently a co-executive producer of 24 (2001). See more »

Goofs

When Greg Seaton gives FBI the coordinates for the location of the weapons he says: "32 40 4 POINT 23 NORTH. 11 7 10 POINT 42 WEST". The literal interpretation of this would be 32°40'4.23"N 11°7'10.42"W, a position in the Atlantic Ocean, just off the coast of Morocco where no warehouse could possibly be. On FBI's screen it shows that they interpreted what he said as 32°40'4.23"N 117°10'42"W, but those coordinates are in the Pacific Ocean just outside San Diego, California, while their satellite photo clearly show a warehouse on land. Hero And Villain
14 September 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Jack is placed in quarantine due to his exposure to the bioweapon. Allison appoints Olivia temporary Chief of Staff and is briefed on the situation with Starkwood. Allison concludes that a direct assault on the Starkwood compound would yield the fewest casualties. Jack's blood work confirms he is infected; he is placed in a medical room and debriefed by a sympathetic Renee. At the compound, Hodges obtains the bioweapon and attempts to extract information from Tony regarding agency knowledge of the weapon. Hodges' adviser, Greg Seaton, shoots the operative interrogating Tony and offers to reveal the bioweapon's location for immunity. With that, FBI tactical units and U.S. Navy SEALs, with Moss, travel to the compound. However, the weapon is not at the provided location; Seaton bluffed to buy Hodges time to prepare the bioweapon. A battalion of Starkwood operatives, including the one supposedly killed by Seaton, surrounds the FBI / Navy team with Humvees and threatens to fire if they move.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.President Allison Taylor asks her daughter, Olivia, to be her provisional Chief of Staff, filling the void left by Ethan Kanin. Taylor, Olivia and Tim Woods receive a call from Larry Moss informing her of Starkwood's development of a biological weapon in Sangala.

2.Jonas Hodges pressures Tom Chapman on having the weapons ready before the government take action. He then interrogates Tony Almeida but he refuses to talk.

3.Tony Almeida is being interrogated by Jonas Hodges but refuses to talk. When Stokes is about to execute him, Greg Seaton allegedly shoots Stokes to save Tony.

4.FBI Agent Renee Walker is informed by Larry Moss about Starkwood retrieving the weapon and Jack being exposed to it. Renee goes to Dr. Sunny Macer and asks her about a cure but she says there isn't any. Jack Bauer asks Larry Moss to let him go with them to Starkwood but Larry refuses to because he doesn't want to risk him showing symptoms there.

5.After searching the Starkwood warehouse where Greg Seaton alleged the weapons were, Larry and his men are ambushed by Stokes and several platoon of Starkwood mercenaries requesting them to leave their property.

Jack gets exposed to a bioweapon and his life is in great danger. It seems that bad luck does not leave our hero since another one comes up after being falsely accused of murder.

As far as Jonas Hodges, our villain is concerned,he too makes his moves on shutting down people who are going to stop him from succeeding in his plans. He has Tony Almeida and pressures him to talk. Also,he tries to move ahead on schedule with his plan of chaos and destruction using a bioweapon after realizing that his tracks have already been started to be followed by the authorities and that he has a formidable enemy in Jack.

Anyway, bad luck and determination dominates this episode for our hero and villain.
