Trivia

Connor Trinneer, who portrays port authority officer Carl Gadsen, also plays Charles "Trip" Tucker III on Star Trek: Enterprise -- another show that involves 24 producers/writers Brannon Braga and Manny Coto. "Trip" is a nickname for a tertiary, same-named child ("the third") as opposed to "II", "junior" or "the second." Oddly enough, he is seen/heard talking on his cell phone with his wife about their expected twin girls, and when asked what the doctor said the wife replies, "...i'm lucky it's not *triplets*. Carl also states (while he and his wife were trying to have kids) "it took us *three* years." See more »

Quotes

Jack Bauer: Damn it.
Tony Almeida: Forget about him, Jack. He was dead the minute he stepped out that door. You and I both know that.

Things Get Going In Day 7
14 September 2012 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

At the shipyard, Jack and Tony question a port authority guard and discover that a group has arrived to collect the bioweapon. They follow the operatives to a container, but Jack starts a firefight when they attempt to kill the guard. Jack commandeers the truck carrying the weapon, but Tony is captured by the operatives. Moss finds evidence of a third person at Mayer's house, and Renee tells him about Jack's investigation of Starkwood. At the White House, Ethan resigns to shoulder the blame for Jack "murdering" Mayer, as well as in response to threats from Olivia. Henry leaves surgery and expects to make a full recovery, while Olivia leaks information about Ethan's resignation to the press. Jack tells Moss to send a team to rescue Tony and to retrieve the weapon before the operatives catch up to Jack. However, Jack is forced to stop a leak in the weapon, giving the operatives time to catch up and recover it. Jack notifies Moss that Starkwood has reclaimed the weapon and that he has been exposed to it.

In summary, here the events that happened during that hour:

1.Senator Blaine Mayer is killed.

2.Larry Moss informs Ethan Kanin of the death of Senator Blaine Mayer, and their assumption that Jack killed him. Kanin blames Moss, but the latter says it was Kanin's fault for allowing Jack out of FBI custody. President Allison Taylor is informed by Ethan that he plans to resign. She tries to stop him, to no avail.

3.FBI Agent Renee Walker is brought up to speed. She asks where Jack is, but Moss does not know. She divulges all Jack told her about Quinn and Burnett, and the connection with Starkwood.

4.Jack Bauer tells Tony about Starkwood and the WMD in Sangala. They go to the Port of Alexandria and try to stop the WMD being taking by the Starkwood mercenaries.

5.Tony Almeida engages with the men whilst Jack goes after the truck with the biological device. Tony is captured and recognized.

6.Jack gets the weapon and calls Moss. He sees there is a leak and stops it, but exposes himself to the WMD. The weapon is stolen by the Starkwood employees via a helicopter.

7.Jonas Hodges learns what happened. He says that Jack probably contacted the authorities, and so decided to move up their schedule. Jack calls Moss and explained what happened, informing him of his exposure to the weapon to prove that Starkwood has the WMD.

The story gets more complex as we see Jack being accused of murder. Also,we see the efforts of him and Tony Almeida try to contain the efforts of Jonas Hodges, who happens to have a possession of a bioweapon that would try to inflict destruction.Of course,we also see Hodges of trying his best to succeed - whatever it takes - in his plan. This only elevates the suspense in Day 7 and the anticipation that the viewer is going to have in the next hours/episodes of the show.As they say,the thrill and excitement goes on.
