James Bond Wanabees Hit New York!
2 November 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Wow, what a great opening scene: straight out of a James Bond movie, hence, the title to this episode.

"Don Flack" has a new girlfriend and he's in the middle of disrobing her when he hears a sound. Someone is breaking into her high-rise apartment. Flack spots the guy climbing out the window and rappelling down the side of the building. Flack makes it downstairs (in impossible time) and sees the guy driving off in a black sports car. Our CSI guy hijacks a cab and pursues the car, only to be stopped when the guy driving the sports car uses James Bond-type stuff on him (oil slick, flames, etc.)

Who is this James Bond-wannabe and why he is stealing something so high up (and turning the lights on!). The mystery deepens quickly when the driver is seeing lying on the street the next day, dead with a part of a his scalp missing.

A fascinating part of this crime story involves "micro technology" in which someone's clothing - a tuxedo being examine in the lab - is wired to be able to download information from the CSI"s computers!

Another unique sight is "Stella" and "Flack" in evening wear, gown and tux, respectively, at an expensive party. Stella (Melina Kanakaredes) seems to be showing more and more of herself each season. Pretty soon, she'll have nothing left to show. Kanakaredes looks, though, very good for a 40-year- old! This episode has a bunch of unique things and makes it fun to watch
