Aggression on history
16 November 2013 | by (Croatia) – See all my reviews

Very very very very bad documentary. They are mentioning only 300 Spartans but what about Thespians and Thebans who fought along Spartans to the end? Very simplistic and Hollywood style incorrect view of Thermopilae!

At Thermopilae there were: 300 Spartans + helots (unknown number) 700 Thespians 400 Thebans

They all fought to the end! This is shameful and gruesome act of aggression against history!

I found some other historical errors like claims Greeks didn't have skirmishers.....what about peltasts???....etc.

I watched only 29 minutes of first part in the series and I don't wanna watch any further. This is just shameful, to make such a blunder against history.
