Storyline

Shawn MacArthur, the kind-hearted son of an Alabama wrestling coach, makes a grim living selling fake products on the streets in New York. After dealing with thieving punks, he's discovered by bare-knuckle/street-fight manager, Harvey Boarden. He soon proves himself worthy and starts earning a small fortune, part of which he volunteers to spend on single mother Zulay Velez. Shawn doesn't cheat and that seems to be a major problem, notably after the arrival of his Alabama high-school rival. Written by KGF Vissers

If you ever fought, you will love it.

One of the best movies about real fighting. Very realistic, with meaningful close-ups and dialogs, great emotions, subtle details, which make this film worth revisiting. For those who never stepped into the ring, "Fighting" may seem superficial but someone who fought will immediately recognize himself in Channing Tatum's character, will recall the fear, the desire to win, the hope for success. Every scene of the film is perfectly played. The supporting characters contribute amazingly to the flow of the movie. The Tatum-Howard team is one of the best fighter-promoter partnerships. Fighting is a nice self-belief story about how a will of steel can raise you from the street to the top of a sky-scraper. Thumbs up!
