Go Bid The Soldiers Shoot
boblipton5 December 2022
Despite the impassioned pleadings of Jane Wolfe, the Mexican commandante has he husband and sons shot. So she goes to run the Mexican revolution by pointing at things in the countyside, while Blackwell gets drunk.

Given this was directed by George Melford, I was expecting more polish, but this was so early in his career that he seems to have let the actors run loose, with a pre-Griffith-style histrionics. On the other hand, his choice of where to place the camera to show off the scenery is impeccable.

Besides Miss Wolfe and Blackwell, Alice Joyce is reputed to be in this film. I didn't spot her, but the loose casting of the era makes it seem likely.
