Storyline
10 Years Later is a dark comedy about six childhood best friends returning home for their ten year high school reunion. When one of them kidnaps an enemy from their past and inadvertently gets the others involved, each must decide whether to turn in a best friend or become accomplices in a dark plot that none of them are sure they can pull off. Saw this in June, 2011 at the Breckenridge Festival of Film. I liked it as did the audience. The theater was crowded and the showing I saw was crowded in between two other films. The story seemed 100% possible and the actors all did an excellent job with their characters and seemed into the story. I spent half the film thinking that Claire Danes was in it. Apparently Ms. Danes has an identical twin named Kathleen Rose Perkins, who acts just as well as Ms. Danes. The story was enjoyable because each character had a significant role to play. Each of the characters had a back-story that contributed to the current storyline. I was not bored at all during the film. However, Romy and Michelle remains my favorite reunion movie. This is a close second, though in a totally different way.
