A Sea Story In The Big City
ccthemovieman-12 November 2008
Warning: Spoilers
This was an excellent episode, a different kind of story involving deep sea diving, buried treasure, cortisone and cyanide and a terrorist plan to bomb someone. You'd think a sea story like this might be in CSI: Miami but New York City is surrounded by a lot of water, too. It's not just skyscrapers, as usually pictured each week on this show.

What I liked best what that is was a straight crime story with no unnecessary sidebars attached, nothing to distract from the interesting tale. It looked like there was going to be with some cocky jerk hitting on "Stella," but that was kind of just left there with nothing developing. That, and Mac"s disturbing "333" calls are something that will be addressed in later episodes, I would assume.

Visually, seeing two guys as skeletons despite in full scuba gear was a unique sight! How they that came to be was kind of cool, too. It also turned out to be educational, as we learn about starfish and a little history of New York City regarding "dumping" in the 1960s.

Overall, this episode offered a lot of good stuff, and it was nice to see "Danny" be a hero, too. I still think he's the best character on the show.
