A comedy centered around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resort's therapy sessions is not optional.
Dave and Ronnie, Jason and Cynthia, and Joey and Lucy are close. The group used to include Shane and Jennifer, but they divorced and she's gone. Jason and Cynthia announce that their marriage is in trouble, and they beg their friends (and Shane's young girlfriend) to join them on a couples' retreat, at the package rate, on a tropical island. The others reluctantly agree, planning to play while Jason and Cynthia work on their marriage with an island psychologist. To everyone's surprise, the package is inflexible: each couple must participate in the couples' exercises. Soon fault lines appear in all four relationships. What's in store for each couple? Three clips seen in the trailer - Malin Akerman saying "You don't want to see this in a bikini. I haven't waxed since the Stanley Cup."; Jon Favreau asking "Do we have to bring the wives?"; and Kristin Davis saying "Not a problem!" in response to Carlos Ponce saying "Excuse my nudity" - are not in the movie. When we first see Jason sitting behind the desk talking on the telephone, the time on his wristwatch alternates between 11:35 and 12:10 several times. See more »
I'm not sure what movie the other reviewers on here watched but it wasn't the same movie i watched, this movie sucked pretty badly. I could see the whole sarah marshal thing it was trying to replicate but it fell short on every level, the writing was terrible, not at all witty and none of the characters were believable although Vince was OK, he was the exact same character he plays in every movie. The ending felt as if they couldn't think of anything so they just ended it predictibly...
I could go on, but i know they will just keep making these money makers and ill keep paying to see them...
