Jenni Pulos looks a lot like Julia Louis-Dreyfus - Elaine on Seinfeld. A lot! And like Seinfeld, this show focuses upon a group of quirky people doing morally questionable things that we should find horrible but instead find funny.
The "Jerry" of the group is Jeff Lewis, who runs a business in Los Angeles buying houses and "flipping" them - fixing them up and selling them for a profit. This is only ethically dubious if you believe that non-wealthy people should also have the ability to buy homes in Los Angeles. I am sure that he makes piles of money.
Jeff has ridiculous Botox lips and a obsessive, nervous personality to match. He fires people who don't deserve it and keeps employees who are completely incompetent. One of these employees is Jenni, the Elaine look-alike. Other characters come and go, most seeming to be oblivious to the truly bizarre and ethically-questionable activities happening around them. Or they add to them.
Yes, we actually find all of this hilarious. Jeff and the gang have adventures to rival Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer, and they are arguably more self-centered and shallow. I'm watching an episode right now where Jeff is interviewing a potential employee. In a voice-over intercut into the footage, he matter-of-factly points out that he only hires attractive people, and he does not care if they know about construction or real estate.
Did I mention that this is a reality show?
