Sex & Nudity

- A prolonged sex scene between a man and woman but mostly blurry shots that don't show much.
- You see a woman's breast twice for a few seconds each time. Once in a bath and once during sex.
- Several intimate kissing scenes.
- A man and a woman take a bath together, ending in a very brief sex scene.
- A man makes some crude remarks about sex.
- A young boy describes being raped by an adult man to another boy. The telling is long and descriptive enough to be quite uncomfortable.
- Brief shots of an adult man molesting a young girl. No nudity at all. They lay in a field and he half lays on her and kisses her sexually. Is seen from a distance and behind bushes as two kids watch.
Violence & Gore

- Kids bully another kid. We see some bruises later after he got in an offscreen fight with them.
- A kid gets slapped brutally in the face. A fight between kids ensues, one kid gets brutally beat down and kicked many times when lying on the ground. There is some blood.
- A group of hooded people overwhelm a single person, they beat and execute him strangulating him with a rope making it look like a suicide. This scene can be disturbing.
- Some kids catch and callously kill an eel by stabbing it multiple times using a club with a nail on the end.
- A kid cuts a girls arms with a razor. We get very short views on some blood on its arms. The girl is dragged under a bridge where she is brutally killed by two kids. All you see is the girl being dragged under the bridge, the rest is revealed through a court scene. This is very disturbing.
Profanity

- About 15-20 uses of "fuck," some used sexually, and 10-15 of "shit." Profanity also includes "damn", "hell," and "jesus," throughout. 2 uses of "cunt" as well.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Alcoholism is a minor theme throughout the movie. A lot of alcohol is consumed on varying occasions. At one scene young adults are seen partying, taking ecstasy at a club and drinking. Some brief smoking by a young man.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The movie follows an ex-con who struggles with his reintegration into society. The theme of a childhood murderer can be disturbing when we are forced to sympathize with a very likeable main character.
- We see a frightening scene of a murder that can be very disturbing, as it is children killing another child.
- Violence and psychotic behavior between children can be disturbing to some people.
- The movie overall is not very explicit but the emotional rollercoaster ride can be intense and the ending is especially intense and depressing.
- A fair amount of the outcome of some scenes in this movie are up to the viewer to decide what happens. Because of this, people with a strong imagination can find it especially disturbing.
