Robert Rodriguez Conceived 'Machete' In The '90s, Has Trilogy Plans

1 hour ago | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

MTV Movies Blog contributor and avid Danny Trejo enthusiast Josh Wigler is going to kill me for running this news instead of letting him have at it, but I got here first. Haw haw!

Y'all know Trejo, right? You've seen him before. In "xXx," "Con Air," "Anaconda," "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy," Rob Zombie's "Halloween" remake and just about every Robert Rodriguez movie in creation, up to and including "Grindhouse." Trejo is currently in the midst of shooting "Predators" with director Nimrod Antal, but after that he'll move onto his next Rodriguez collab, a project grown out of the mock trailer for "Machete" seen between the "Planet Terror" and "Death Proof" halves on "Grindhouse." Shortly before the year turned, the actor took some time out to chat with IGN about his upcoming Rodriguez reunion.

"Robert had been training me for 'Machete' since 'Desperado,'" Trejo said, »

Clowns Likes Group Therapy Too (Clownstrophobia)

1 January 2010 8:15 PM, PST | 28 Days Later Analysis | See recent 28 Days Later Analysis news »

E1 Entertainment will distribute Clownstrophobia on DVD beginning March 9, 2010. A film from Geraldine Winters that "did not have script," Clownstrophobia still looks deliciously frightening especially if you have coulrophobia, or a fear of clowns (Planet of Terror). Almost every frame in the trailer shows Snuffles the Killer Clown enacting murderous actions or generally causing terror amongst a group of patients seeking help for, yes you guessed it, their fear of clowns. Have an early look at this film that was originally designed as a short and then extended to partial feature length (78 mins').

The synopsis for Clownstrophobia here:

"Dr. Wethers has invited a group of damaged juveniles to her estate for a group therapy session. They all share a fear of clowns. Dr Wethers brother - Seth Wethers, also known as Snuffles the clown, has been incarcerated for over ten years after killing his parents. He comes home tonight just in time for group therapy! »
