Sniper Patrol 420 - The Marijuana War-Farce of Satire!
30 July 2011 | by (Norway) – See all my reviews

Okay, so I have just seen this little film directed by James Evans. This is gonna be a short review, at least. Since it is ten minutes in length. Strange it is here at IMDb. It is btw on YouTube. Link will be provided at the bottom of this review.

The film open with the title of TriRock Films Presents, then you know you're in good hand when R and J Productions is there too, seriously I had never heard about that company before now. A narrator tells us the story of how George W. Bush commenced Iraqi freedom that they not had seen since the brutality of Saddam Hussein, and his actions in the 80's. Strong words for a film of this magnitude. So we open with the two Privateers of US Army in "Iraq". They just talk bullshit before they spot a notable figure. It's quiet obvious indeed. It's Dick Cheney in hunting season. No, it's Saddam Hussein enjoying himself, a nice pipe of pot.

They encounter him, and he seems shockingly surprised about this, yet don't at the same time. Acting in strong form I must say. Oh yes. Then the three of them is gathered under the tree of the garden of eden. An that's another story to tell indeed. The two privateers then trade Saddam's Pipe (It sounded too kinky, not to include it) for what seems to be Corona Beer. Then after this, they smoke a joint of the good ol' Woodstock green. One of the the privateers have a picture of Saddam with him, which is exactly like the actor portraying him, the director himself, Mr. Evans. They play around with it, like they pretend to shoot it for fun and then Mr. Hussein plays along, by laughing hysterically forced. Overacting, never heard of it? Then of exhaustion of jointing together, they fall asleep, in a three-way under a tree.

I kinda liked the film, if it had been edited better and directed the same way. The film seems to be edited on my favorite editing program of choice, Sony Vegas. Which is a good thing in my eyes. The sounds seems like it is lifted directly from the web, for free. In the background at times, it seems like the crew snapped to get things going. Many shots hold on for ages and is not cut by others. Other than that, i's a fun little flick. I recommend it, only for the lulz.
