Warning: Spoilers
I loved the beginning. Episode looked pretty decent but some parts were not necessarily, like Aquaman or sucking bullet from chicks lol that's too awkward man.

Decent episode but had some flaws

Some jokes were drawn out too long and the queen parody was just unnecessary but apart from that it was a pretty good episode, it was nice to see an episode more focused on secondary characters. Wiggum and Tony were definitely the highlight of this episode and they combined for some funny moments. This episode proves that modern simpsons can still be funny but there are some flaws that separate it from earlier classic episodes. 8/10

A Fresh Take on Fat Tony, but with a Less Credible Representation than in Classic Seasons of "The Simpsons"

Warning: Spoilers
"The Fat Blue Line" is an episode of "The Simpsons" that, when viewed with my new viewing method, presents a fresh take on the character of Fat Tony, as if it were the first time we see him understood as a kind of Mafia Godfather. This way, the episode's parody humor of the Godfather character is more sympathetic. However, if viewed casually, chronologically, or with the recent memory of previous episodes, it may seem that the character and his associates are treated in a more surreal or less credible way than in the classic seasons.

At least, the episode features an extremely funny scene in which Chief Wiggum and his son are behaving like elephants. This episode, like many of the later seasons, presents a different style of humor and character development than in the golden era, but it still holds some comedic moments. It's important to take into account that the episode may not be as strong as those from the show's peak, but it still worths a watch for the fans of the series.

This is a good episode, most people will hate based on the fact it's new

Decent new episode

This was a great episode. I wouldn't judge an episode just because modern Simpsons gets so much hate. It focus more on secondary characters and really gives some character development on Chief Wiggum and Fat Tony the best. Makes for a warm and sweet ending too.

Wiggum on the case
paultapner1 February 2020
Fat Tony is busted for pickpocketing but swears he's innocent. Chief Wiggum didn't make the arrest as he's been sidelined for obvious reasons. Can he find the culprit and get some respect back? As with last season, even though the show has so run it's life, occasionally good episodes do pop up and this is one. One single storyline. Supporting characters get a lot to do. Nigh on every single joke lands as well. And Jason Momoa's appearance is a good one with some good material for him. It doesn't hit the reset button at the end either. A fun watch. An example of what the show can still do when it tries.
