When Bond and Sévérine are walking in the island, her shoes change color between shots.
The wristwatches of the participants in the Ministerial Hearing are set to a variety of different times - even among participants sitting at the same table.
In the Shanghai Tower scene, the terrorist/sniper is seen operating a manual, bolt action rifle. Right after during the fight with James Bond, the gun is shot several times just as if it was a semi-automatic weapon.
When in Shanghai, Bond is seen removing his gloves (particularly the right one) to use his gun. When hanging on to the lift he is seen without any gloves. Then when Patrice is hanging down from the building, 007 holds him with his right hand in the glove, which should be off (like in the previous shots)

Factual errors

Both Silva and Bond slide down the center escalator divider in the chase in the tube station. This would not be possible since, on the London Underground, there are protruding metal discs at regular intervals to prevent exactly this behavior.
In the intro scene when James Bond's train car is uncoupled, the car's brake pipe is disconnected as well. Train brakes work on positive pressure, so if the brake pipe were disconnected, the uncoupled cars would immediately stop within a short distance, and the rest of the train would shortly follow. In the movie, the uncoupled cars continue closely following the train as if nothing had happened.
Silva says that after he bit the capsule with hydrogen cyanide it "burnt his insides" but he "didn't die" because "life clung to him", and then shows the "effects of hydrogen cyanide". All of those statements are goofs. It's impossible for life to cling to anyone who ingests this chemical and he or she invariably dies within 1 to 10 minutes. The chemical doesn't "burn the insides"; it causes oxygen deprivation and death. It also doesn't cause any of the deformities shown by Silva.
Upon removing a dental prosthetic on his upper jaw, Silva reveals many of his teeth and part of his cheek were destroyed by "hydrogen cyanide". However, this type of cyanide has never been used in suicide capsules and is no more acidic than lemon juice.
The tube train used during the London Underground chase scene is a deep-level train of the Jubliee line, as shown by the colour of the bars inside and the layout of the interior. However, the chase supposedly occurs on the District line, as proved by its final destination being Wimbledon. The District line in fact uses considerably larger and very different sub-surface rolling stock. The sequence was likely filmed using the disused Jubilee line platforms at Charing Cross station, which are maintained for the sole purpose of providing film productions with a location to shoot on the London Underground without disrupting the rest of the system.
The shrapnel taken from Bond's shoulder are 'depleted uranium' yet these rounds do not go through the mild steel cab of the digger nor do they go through the glass.

When the explosion that takes down the Merlin helicopter occurs the camera cuts briefly to inside the cockpit. No1 and No2 engine condition switches are set to ground idle. No3 engine is set to off. The rotor brake is in the "on" position. An aircraft in this configuration would not even have rotors turning, let alone fly around.

All three engines should be in "flight" condition with the rotor brake "off".

In the opening scene on the train, the coupling is shot away and the rear wagon separates. This ruptures the continuous brake pipe, which would cause both halves of the train to stop immediately.

James Bond is seen running down Whitehall in London. Behind him a number 38 bus is seen. However the 38 does not travel down or indeed particularly near Whitehall. This was probably done to show off the new Routemaster bus, which is currently only used on the 38 route.

When Bond drives M away in the Jaguar XJ, police cars can be seen driving towards them when he speeds around the corner. The Volvo police car in front has two yellow dots on the top of the windscreen which mean armed response, but on the roof there is a circle, which means traffic/incident response. The aerial roof marking symbol should have been a five-edged star for armed response. Metropolitan police don't even use Volvos for armed response. They use BMW 5 series and X5s.

Bond and Silva travel from Temple station on the District/Circle line, which is a sub-surface line that has square tunnels (dug out from above and then covered over) and uses large trains with an almost square cross-section. However, the train they board is of the type used on the deep-level lines (eg. Northern and Jubilee lines), smaller and almost cylindrical in shape, and is seen to fit snugly into the cylindrical tube tunnel as the train leaves the station. They therefore can't be travelling on the District/Circle line, and must be on a deep-level line instead. The disused Jubilee line platforms at Charing Cross are often used for filming, and photographs available online show one such platform recently dressed as Temple station.

When there is a BBC News Report for the BBC News at 10 (clock bottom right) the wrong news studio is used rather than the correct one. They also used the wrong opening standing position. The studio shown is for the BBC News at 6pm, and the position used is only used for the intro after the half way segment, not the lead headline.

When Bond is being driven back to MI6, there is clear rain on the window. In the angle from above the car, there is no rain visible on the top of the car. Despite rain on the passenger window, there is no rain on the car roof for some reason.

It is hardly surprising that Moneypenny misses her shot whilst Bond is fighting on the train as she keeps both her eyes open whilst firing, breaking the fundamental laws of marksmanship.

As Patrice enters the Shanghai tower at ground-level with Bond following, he shoots the night security guard. When Bond enters the building, he goes up a level and finds the guard in a large pool of blood at the top of the escalator. If the guard was bleeding that profusely, there should have been an obvious trail in the lobby and on the escalator where he was dragged, but the pool has very smooth edge with no traces leading to it.

Q gives Bond a box which contains a gun. On the lid is a keyhole. No key is offered and there is no visible latch or mechanism for the lock to engage in.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

After Bond and M arrive at Skyfall they review the available weapons with Kincade. Kincade hands Bond what looks like a double barrel shotgun and says that is was his father's hunting rifle. This is an "express rifle", a double barreled large caliber rifle designed for dangerous game at close range, and easily mistaken for a shotgun.
Bond's father's gun is manufactured by Anderson Wheeler, so it might seem unlikely that Andrew Bond, a representative of the arms manufacturer Vickers, would have habitually used a competitor's product. But given the fact that Vickers only built military weapons and never produced sporting arms, it is perfectly normal that he would have chosen a double rifle from one of the big sporting guns firms in Mayfair.

When Bond arrives at the Skyfall house and meets Kincaid, Bond introduces 'm' only as 'M', but Kincaid shakes M's hand and says "nice to meet you Emma". Since this is not either the character's full name (as far as we know), or the actresses name, it was probably either deliberately misheard by Kincaid ('M' and 'Emma'), or an easy affectation for the name he really heard. 'M' and 'Emma' are not very different, especially for someone not used to only hearing a single letter as somebody's name. Plus Kincaid may have thought Bond was saying Em, which is a commonly used shortened form for Emma.

In the beginning gun battle, the agent that Bond is having a shoot-out with has a very large, round clip attached to his machine pistol. At the end of the shoot-out it is no longer attached to his gun. However he can actually be seen dumping the magazine before stealing the police motorcycle.

Plot holes

When Q investigates Silva's computer he connects it to the MI6 network. No one who knows anything about computer security would ever connect a suspect computer to the network before it has been fully investigated and found to be safe. Such a system would be investigated in strict isolation.
When Eve accidentally shoots Bond while he's fighting Patrice on the moving train, presumably she has more than one bullet in her rifle that can also eliminate Patrice and prevent the hard drive being stolen?
During the subterranean chase the villain has to adapt his schedule to escape a pursuing Bond, but is somehow still able to predict exactly when and where Bond will catch up to him and to have previously planted explosives at that location and timed it so that an underground train arrives exactly on schedule.
Bond and M depart for Scotland in Bond's vintage Aston Martin because it is his personal vehicle and thus untraceable by MI6. However, M makes reference to the vehicle having an ejector seat, and at the Skyfall shootout the car is revealed to have machine guns hidden behind its headlights, so clearly the vehicle was at some point substantially upgraded by the agency (and thus has extensive electronic equipment that could be tracked).
Bond supposedly grew up on the Estate, but somehow was unaware of the deep pond halfway between his own house and the only other building nearby. It is unlikely that he would not have known about and remembered the pond and how to get about the area.
Bond is shot twice as he's chasing Patrice on the train in the opening sequence. The first time, as he is sitting in the cab of the digger, he is shot near his right shoulder and we see the blood when he is walking inside the train. The second time, Moneypenny shoots him unintentionally as he is fighting Patrice on top of the train; the shot that effectively pushes him off the train to the river below, evidence of a direct hit. There is no indication of Bond wearing a vest and there is no further mention of any wound that should have resulted from being shot twice.

Revealing mistakes

When the tube train falls through the hole into the area below, all its lights are still working. Once each carriage leaves the rails, which carry the electric current, these would all have gone out and the train would have been in darkness.
The height of the excavator and its jib as initially loaded on the rail car would not have allowed it to pass through the tunnel.
During the motorcycle chase, shots from behind show the riders are wearing padding underneath their clothing, particularly obvious for James Bond.

Factual errors

The helicopters which arrive at Silva's lair on Hashima Island are not heard until they appear immediately overhead. These aircraft are extremely noisy, and can be noticeably loud even when a mile or two away.
When Bond is chasing Silva on the Underground, all the police officers (and Silva) are in Metropolitan Police uniform. This also occurs in the aftermath tube train crash when officers rush to the Undergrounf station. The officers should in fact be British Transport Police officers, as they police the Underground, not the Met.

When Q tries to decrypt Silva's laptop, it ends up infiltrating MI6's network instead. No computer engineer would ever hook an unknown laptop directly into his network, especially if it was a suspect machine like Silva's. Q should have put the laptop on some sort of testing network completely isolated from the rest of MI6's machines.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

After the terrorist attack on MI6, TV reporter explains that six people died and others were injured in the hospital. In the next scene, when M stands next to the coffins, we can count eight coffins that were the victims of the attack. However, the additional coffins could be explained that two of the injured had subsequently died of their injuries. The image is reminiscent of Bloody Sunday (1920) where several British agents were murdered by terrorists.
