Out of and back into the blue

I guess from other comments, that I caught this in re-runs. Sorry I missed most of the episodes.

However, I do want to say this. In one interview with a very forgettable "actor" they touched upon something that's been a peeve of mine for at least 30 years. This person talked about certain actors that he considered liberators of the profession during the demise of the studio system in the 1960's. I understand why the movie moguls were hated, however nothing since has ever accomplished the quality of films that they produced. There are NOT any NEW CLASSICS. The level of junk forced on the paying public has proliferated astronomically since actors began "earning" millions for a single film. Get over yourself, you ARE NOT WORTH IT. Nor is anyone in any form of entertainment. Find the person who cures cancer or the common cold, then we'll talk milllions. You should all be ashamed!!

I prefer the decades when actors were beautiful AND talented!! Now they are all average, less than average, plain, homely and downright UGLY!! The good part is that just when the price of admission became ridiculously expensive 20 years ago, I stopped going to the movies because why should I want to look at such less than ordinary, unglamorous, and rarely talented individuals being foisted upon the younger generation who rarely know any better.

The "big screen" has no meaning any longer. I haven't seen anything in the past decade that was worth anything more than it's first debut being done on television.

Hollywood nuts have long been out of control with their vaunting EGOS! I'm tired of them talking about how great they are while they turn out less than middling TRASH. That includes, writers, directors, producers, and what are now laughingly known as "actors" (including that petite conceit of actresses who want to be called actors)

I'm so glad that 1958-67 my older sister and I saw so many wonderful films. We went every Saturday, and twice a week in summer. A theater was a theater, not some crummy closet stuck in one of those cursed malls. 50 years from now, nothing will be remembered but the TRASH and thank God I'll be dead.
