The animated film is based on the eponymous Russian folk tale.
In 2001, the animation was restored and re-voiced by Studiya AS LLC and Children's Session 1 LLC. In the new version the phonogram was completely replaced, modern actors are involved in the re-sounding.
In the 1980s, in the USSR, it was produced on VHS videotapes by the "Video Program of Goskino USSR".
In the early 1990s, the animation was released by the cinema association "Close-up" in the cartoon collection "In the Forest thicket".
