Originating from The Living Room, one of New York City's most unique music venues, "Downtown Film Fest" presents a weekly half hour of discussion and sampling of the latest independent films in a format that appeals to a wide-ranging audience. Co-hosts Adrienne Shelly and Gill Holland present a light-hearted look at the indie scene and the films coming out of it. Correspondent Carolina Hoyos brings a story from the road each week - either a profile of a film in production, or a report from a film festival or industry event. The final segment of each show is the Living Room interview, where Gill and Adrienne have an in-depth conversation with an important figure from the world of independent film. Written by
