All seventeen year-old Magic wants is Paula - the girl of his dreams, but he'll have to save her family, first - not just from the attention of the local gangster but more importantly, from themselves - and there's her imaginary friend Georgina to contend with too. Written by
I got this film on DVD through Amazon the other day...and I absolutely loved it! It's really refreshing to see a funny, touching, well written, brilliantly acted, low budget film that's better than a lot of big films being released today. And the fact that it's written by a group of teenagers from around Liverpool is great and makes it feel realistic (especially the family scenes!).
Its a shame that even though its been shown at Cannes and other festivals that it hasn't been picked up and distributed by a big company as it really is a brilliant film.
One of the main reasons I bought the film was because it's set in Liverpool, and I urge every other Scouser to see it! But even if you're not from Liverpool, you should still see it anyway.
