After years of petty theft "missions" Chuck, a tunneled vision bum, comes up with a plan to pull off the heist of his life - The Big One. He picks the best men he can get from a click of losers on Venice Beach boardwalk: Winston, a proud ex-socialist, Pookie, a dim-wit street performer, and Manduke, a junkie with a twisted sense of humor. Led by Chuck's tour-de-force personality and driven by their own agendas, the crew sets off to execute his extravagant, high-concept plan to rob a heavily-guarded supermarket... User Reviews

A bit better than its current score on IMDb
8 November 2008 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

This is a short comedy about four losers who want to do some shoplifting at the local grocery store. However, the whole affair is handled in many ways like a "big caper" picture like RAFIFI or GRAND SLAM. The split-second timing, planning and seriousness of the endeavor is ludicrous and makes the film likable--even if sometimes the seemed to try a bit too hard to be kooky. The story idea isn't bad, but having a "funny huffer" (a guy who is addicted to inhalants) isn't really funny and some of the jokes fall very flat. However, for a film made by new film makers and actors, it does show quite a bit of promise. Perhaps with some more experience, these people could go on to bigger and brighter things.

Overall verdict, despite its rough spots and occasionally forced humor, the film is likable and a diverting film.
