The Vampires of Zanzibar Official Review, 28 September 2009
Author: eje7773 from United States

Producer/Director John Birmingham of Birmingham Films will soon be recognized as one of Indy Film's best and brightest young talents. His new release, The Vampires of Zanzibar, is sure to raise a surprising and dynamic stir in the horror/comedy/musical film world. Birmingham spared no expense (funded the movie out of pocket) or effort in luring some of the worlds most creative and energetic upcoming stars. Life as we know it will never be the same once these vampires of Zanzibar are unleashed among us after roaming the earth for 1000 years incognito.

MTV'S Viva La Bam and Jackass stars Brandon Dicamillo ("Lord Weasel Titties"), and Chris Raab "Himself" ("Sire McNugget") bring on, as only they can, their zany dry macho American humor. Their fans around the globe will be pleased when they see Dicamillo's and Raab's creative juices running amok throughout the film. Unknown American actor Doug Dresslor ("Paul") adds a serious and talented performance as he is torn between two frightening worlds. More roles surely await this talented young man. Birmingham did not want to make just another American film, so Zanzibar has an international flavor all its on. The sensual French actress, Evyh Cerhus ("Mrs. Leroy"), who plays a luscious vampire will surely smite the viewers and once they are smitten they will beg to be bitten.

Sweden's Jimmy Johanansson ("Marko"), and Iceland's fresh young stars (only 17 and 18 when filming!) Andi Kjartan ("Harry"), Hoddi Bjornsen "Potter"), and Bjarni Gautur ("Jacob") are sure to light up the screens in America and in their homelands abroad.

The camera and sound work in The Vampires of Zanzibar are surreal and so it should be as you relish all the blood and guts, special effects, and listen to many entertaining musical sounds and excellent sound design . If you love beauty this production is loaded with eye enhancers with the likes of the beautiful Danica DeCosto ("Wendy"), sweet and sumptuous Lindsey Kruichak ("Sweet Lindsey Sue the Country Singer"), and the lovely Lauren Susan ("Laney"). Not to mention some of the sizzling hot extras who fill up the screen.

If you want to be on the cutting edge of a sure to be international cult hit jump on board now because The Vampires of Zanzibar are heading down the track in rapid fashion.
