Trivia:

In the scene when Dick pushes a man out of the fire escape at the back of the bus, a dummy was used and a simple balloon was used as the mans head filled up with blood, so that it burst when hit by a car.

Goofs:

Audio/visual unsynchronized: In the scene where Fanny falls off the stolen bike and lands down the sewer pipe. Dick says, "Oh, for fuck sake stop buggering about!" But his lips clearly mouth the word 'God' instead of 'Fuck'.

Hilarious performances & stomach aching gags throughout!

After getting free tickets to see 'Defunct' at a screening, I thought this film was gong to be rather... well... lets just say 'not so good'. BUT, Big but here. This film was hilarious from start to finish.

Opening in a gym and having the two main characters beat people up because they are too skinny or too handsome was a real thrill.

The movie carries itself really well. The main story here is of Dick and Fanny. Dick is the one with all the money and has a personal trainer, driver, butler, cleaner, body guards, bum wiper (hilarious scene) dog walker and so on... Fanny is his best friend how tags along and helps Dick spend all his money!

One night after they go out and get drunk they come across a carnival on their way home. After a few rides and a few buckets of sick later they bump into a gypsy. They call her all kinds of names and insult here badly. Ten minutes later their driver quits and they have to walk home. The next morning they awaken (SPOILERS) in the gutter on the high street surrounded by spare chance. They walk home and discover Dicks house is being repossessed. The couple then go on to try and find the gypsy who they believe has coursed them this way and make her reverse it so they can go ahead and live their normal lives.

There are so many gags in this film that I cannot recall all of them. There is a funny scene where Fanny steals a young boys bike, rides off really fast, turns a corner and falls down an open sewer grate. Dick then starts moaning at her as he thinks she is being pathetic. Also the scene in the bathroom in priceless.

Overall this film is far too short. Very funny and with good performances from all the cast.

I give this film 9 out of 10.
