Nicely done.
In the "make it up as you go along" world of other TV series like the Walking Dead it's refreshing to watch a series that has put some time in in advance to make sure the story works. Marcus attempt to skip town to save his life but he can't because of his son who's shown up on the NFFA list of troublemakers. It works, it seems reasonable, no one's intelligence has been insulted.
Although I was enjoying the in-depth look into life between purges as it fleshed out the madness really well, bonus marks for moving the plot along fast in the last few mins too. Jump forward to just before purge night.
The only bit that's creeping me out is Ben's story line. That bit with his now ex girlfriend didn't go well. He's off the rails, I was liking seeing the madness from his point of view but I'm finding it hard to get on board with him, which is perhaps as it should be. Every criminal has a back story, but he hasn't sold me on his reasoned madness yet

Would one really do that?

Warning: Spoilers
I think this episode contains too many moments where you think: "uhm, nobody would do that..."
Spoilers:
Wouldn´t Marcus and his family just find a place where they could cross the border without having to show ID? - If not, why don´t they go to a hotel? The guy´s a doctor, surely he could afford it. Instead they go right back to the excact same house. I mean... Come on.
Wouldn´t Kelen leave earlier? Before everybody got up?
It´s just a bit thin for me now. I quite enjoyed the first season but this is... Well, very much a season 2...
