Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Note: The number at the beginning of each section refers to how much explicit content of that kind there is in the film on a scale of 1-10. The fraction at the end of the last section is the total sum of the sections over the highest sum possible (50) and is therefore an approximation of about how explicit the film is a whole.

Sex and Nudity: 7

A woman shoves a man into a sitting position on a chair and straddles him, sitting on his lap, facing him, and saying, "I just want to have fun"; she offers to let him pretend she is his girlfriend if they engage in intercourse.

A very sexy woman dressed in a short dress shoves a man down on a bed and straddles him; as she leans over her underpants are exposed twice.

A man is shown ripping his pants off, his bare buttocks are shown and he is wearing thong-style underwear; he turns and the front of the thong is shown.

A man is shown wearing his pants and boxers around his ankles, he exits a bathroom, and then passes out on top of another man.

A young woman is shown removing her jacket and pants, and in the process exposing her underpants; she wears a low-cut, short, strapless dress.

A poster of a woman wearing a bikini reveals bare abdomen, legs and cleavage. A room is plastered in pictures of women in various states of undress.

A man is shown under a very large robot, and what appears to be simulated male genitals are shown on the robot; the man then mentions the resemblance, and states that he is directly under the genitals, using both anatomical and crude names.

A woman under the obvious influence of drugs says seductively, "Oh Professor, I'd do anything for an A" when she is pinned to the ground by a man trying to control her. A woman tells a group of passersby that her son had recently "had his cherry popped" and stating that she heard him engage in sexual intercourse. A man says he can "get his freaky freak on," implying sex. A woman frankly tells a man that she is "good in bed." A man asks if he can "sit and watch" a man and woman having intercourse. A man verbalizes his disappointment about not being able to have sex with a woman. A young man refers to himself as the "fruit of [your] loins" in a discussion with his parents.

Violence & Gore

Violence & Gore: 7

The movie opens with a huge fight, there are frequent fights through out the movie and they are very intense.

The scene where a flat, skinny robot tried to breach through the pod where the 'allspark' shard held but afterward, the robot sliced through the soldier that causes blood to splatter by air and some of them splashes on onscreen (little gory). Worked almost like 3D screen. Very quick but very graphic scene.

There is a scene where a small robot enters through the nose and probes the brain of the main character, Sam.

A woman transforms into a robot and attacks a group, destroying everything in its path. It is eventually hit by a car and gets destroyed after being pinned against a pole and then run over.

Optimus Prime rips Grindor's head in half in a fight scene, and we see robotic fluids and pieces fly everyhwere.

Megatron impales Optimus Prime and one of his blades detonates a charge, blowing a good portion of Optimus' body apart, killing him. Violent and graphic in a non-violent sort of way.

Devastator tries to eat Mudflap, but Mudflap attacks him from the inside out and eventually blows a hole through Devastator's head and escapes.

The battle at the end is very intense and almost bloody involved fights such as blowing up soldiers and such. However, fights between robots are very intense and bloodless as well.

Profanity

Profanity: 5

Fairly strong language, such as "bitch", barely audible "godd-mn", d*amnit"," bastard."

The word "pussy" is also used twice in a non-sexual manner, used to refer to someone as a coward.

Profanity is used often and somewhat gratuitously. Words such as friggin', freakin', and several times characters and robots stop just shy of using the "f" word, but it is implied.

Mom says the "S" word twice in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the movie. Also a soldier calls a military leader a dumbass.

The offensive slang term for "anus" is used once, by a soldier to another soldier regarding the military liaison.

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking: 4

Sam's mom accidentally buys hash brownies when visiting Sam at the college, and she gets all crazy and obnoxious. AKA, High.

Several soldiers are seen smoking in one scene

Frightening/Intense Scenes-7

A small robot does surgery in Sam's head by sticking tool and robotic worms and bugs up his nose and mouth. This could appear very disturbing to younger children.

An idea of how accurate the TECE (below) is: 5-10 is a little-kid suitable, G-Rated type of film (i.e. Care Bears, Sleeping Beauty); 10-15 is going to be a little harsher, but not by much (i.e. The Incredibles); 15-20 could be pretty high up there (i.e. THIS), 20-25 is going to pretty darn adult (i.e. The Dark Knight); 25-30 is going to be a film most likely not suitable for anyone under 17 (i.e. This); 30-40 is going to be an absolutely, positively adults-only film (i.e. Saving Private Ryan) and if a movie has ever gone past 40, then I haven't heard of it.

Total Explicit Content Estimation: 29/50

There will be several disturbing languages in this film as well. Several scenes in this movie will be frightening to some viewers.
