Bumblebee's New Look Revealed in Transformers: The Last Knight

12 August 2016 5:21 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

For the past few weeks, there has been a new piece of Transformers: The Last Knight character artwork unveiled through various social media channels every day. Yesterday, Megatron's new robot form was unveiled, and today we have our first glimpse at the iconic Autobot Bumblebee, and what he will look like after transforming. We have already seen the 2016 Chevy Camaro that will be used when Bee is in vehicle mode, but this image gives us our first look at Bumblebee's new robot mode design.

We already know that Bumblebee will be getting his own spinoff, with Paramount setting a June 6, 2018 release date back in February. While very little is known about the plot, this project is said to give Bumblebee his own origin story. It remains to be seen whether or not this design will also be used for this spinoff as well. As for the design elements, Bee looks largely similar to previous incarnations, »

Megatron's New Robot Form Revealed in Transformers 5

11 August 2016 10:49 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Over the past few days, new photos of the Autobots in Transformers: The Last Knight have been released through the sequel's official Twitter. We've shown you a closer look at the new Vespa scooter Autobot Sqweeks, along with Crosshairs, Drift, Hot Rod and, of course, Optimus Prime. Today we have one more Autobot to unveil, Hound, along with the Decepticon leader Megatron and the evil cop car Decepticon Barricade. If that wasn't enough, we also have a new video featuring returning star Josh Duhamel.

Like the previous photos released on Twitter, we get some key stats for Hound and his Decepticon enemies Megatron and Barricade. For instance, Megatron is the tallest of this trio, standing 30 feet tall, while Hound is just 24 feet tall and Barricade is 16 feet tall. Hound is described as a "boisterous Autobot commando" who "always has his finger on a trigger." Barricade is a "duplicitous Decepticon sentry, »

Transformers 5 First Look at Autobot Crosshairs

8 August 2016 9:32 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

As production continues on Paramount's Transformers: The Last Knight, director Michael Bay has taken it upon himself to introduce all of these old and new robots in disguise. Over the weekend, we got a new look at Autobots Drift and Sqweeks, and today we have another Autobot warrior, Crosshairs. We first met Crosshairs in 2014's Transformers: Age of Extinction, and he appears to be quite identical in appearance from the previous blockbuster.

Director Michael Bay revealed the photo on Twitter last night, teasing that the only thing green about Crosshairs is his color, inferring that he is quite experienced in battle. In Transformers: Age of Extinction, Crosshairs' vehicular form was a lime green 2014 C7 Corvette Stingray. Since this Autobot is practically identical in appearance from the previous movie, it's believed that he will still transform into a newer model of the Corvette Stingray, but we don't know for sure. Exclusive – Stan Bush talks about Michael Bay not using “The Touch” in his Transformers movies

8 August 2016 4:00 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

To mark the film’s 30th anniversary, we got in touch with rock singer Stan Bush to talk about The Transformers: The Movie‘s iconic theme song “The Touch”, and why it wasn’t used in the Michael Bay live-action movies.

Bush had re-recorded “The Touch”, and it looks like it very nearly made it into the final movie.

“I never found out what happened,” he told us. “It was pulled at the last minute. Like, a couple of weeks before the movie came out. There was going to be a little clip of it played by Bumblebee. It would have been a cool thing for the fans, but I don’t know. I got conflicting stories that Michael Bay was trying to distance himself from the original film. It was all speculation, but I never found out what happened.”

Transformers: The Last Knight Shows Off New Autobot Sqweeks

7 August 2016 2:54 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Back in June, just a few weeks after production started on Transformers: The Last Knight, director Michael Bay unveiled the first look at a new robot in disguise, dubbed Sqweeks, who was seen in a photo alongside the director and actress Isabela Moner. Today we have a new glimpse at Sqweeks, which confirms that this robot is an Autobot, and its name is spelled "Sqweeks" instead of "Squeeks" as originally believed. This robot is also described as "a human's best friend".

This photo debuted on the official Twitter for the Transformers franchise, which recently posted a new photo of Drift before this Sqweeks image. We have previously seen some of our favorite Autobots and Decepticons such as Megatron, Bumblebee and Barricade. Production started in June, but we don't know how long filming is set to last for.

First Look at Hot Rod in Transformers 5

4 August 2016 8:55 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Finally! Hot Rod is being introduced in Transformers: The Last Knight! A longtime fan-favorite Autobot, Hot Rod was first introduced in the classic animated adventure, 1986's Transformers: The Movie. And ever since, audiences have waited with baited breath to see this guy return in one of the live-action sequels. Unlike some of the other recent Transformers 5 reveals, we don't get to see an actual photo of Hot Rod in his car form. Instead, we get to see the Autobot in his true robot form courtesy of Hasbro's official Transformers Twitter.

Hot Rod is just the latest in a long line of reveals from Michael Bay's fifth and final Transformers adventure. Since filming began earlier in the year, the director has made sure to keep a steady stream of photos and other exciting sneak peeks coming. So far, we've seen the return of Megatron and Optimus Prime, the new Bumblebee, »

Michael Bay shares image of Onslaught from Transformers: The Last Knight

Michael Bay is returning to the Transformers franchise for a fifth time with Transformers: The Last Knight, and the director has been taking to Twitter to share images of his new cast. Today’s reveal? Onslaught.

Here’s Bay’s tweet:

And here’s the high-res image:

Onslaught is a name that will mean a lot to Transformers fans, as he was the villainous leader of Decepticon group the Combaticons, who would form together to make Bruticus. We’ve seen Bay use the Constructicons to make Devestator in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen – will we see the Combaticons do something similar in Transformers: The Last Knight?

Tyrese Gibson returning for Transformers: The Last Knight

28 June 2016 10:05 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Following in the footsteps of his longtime Transformers screen partner Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson revealed via a post on Instagram that he will be reprising his role as Sergeant Robert Epps in Transformers: The Last Knight.

In 2007’s Transformers, 2009’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and 2011’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Gibson and Duhamel played soldiers who constantly crossed paths with the protagonist, Sam Witwicky, and assisted in fighting the evil Decepticons.

Gibson, along with all of the human characters in the original live-action Transformers trilogy, took a break from the series with 2014’s Transformers: Age of Extinction, but director Michael Bay seems to have made it his goal to get at least part of the gang back together for the upcoming fifth installment. While it’s more unlikely that such actors as Shia Labeouf and John Turturro will return for The Last Knight, it’s also not completely outside the realm of possibility. »

Meet Autobot Vespa Squeeks in Latest Transformers 5 Photos

23 June 2016 10:23 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Ever since production started on Transformers: The Last Knight late last month, we've already learned that a few of our favorite Autobots and Decepticons such as Megatron and Bumblebee will be back for this sequel. Today, director Michael Bay took a break from the production to introduce a brand new robot character, Squeeks. The director is seen in the first of two new photos alongside Squeeks and his new co-star Isabela Moner.

We're pretty sure Squeeks is an Autobot, with the director debuting two new photos on his official website MichaelBay.com. Squeeks is a 1960s/1970s Vespa scooter, and since we see what appears to be a junkyard in the back of this photo, it's possible that Isabela Moner's mystery character discovers Squeeks in this automotive graveyard. This image comes just a few days after the Decepticon cop car Barricade was unveiled.
