I Am Heath Ledger, 2017.

Directed by Adrian Buitenhuis & Derik Murray.

Featuring Heath Ledger, Naomi Watts, Ben Mendelsohn, and Djimon Hounsou.

Using home video footage and artwork from across his life, this documentary charts the life and career of Heath Ledger, all the way to his untimely death…

Despite his untimely demise, he is enormously present across this portrait, which combines talking head recollections with clips from his performances and, »

The life and work of the late Heath Ledger is being celebrated in a new documentary. Here's the trailer for I Am Heath Ledger...

Heath Ledger was just 28 years old when he died, and wouldn’t even be 40 today. He died having completing his work as The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, although he wouldn’t get to see the finished movie, that would win him a posthumous Academy Award. He was also part-way through filming Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus.

A new documentary, I Am Heath Ledger, has been made to celebrate the work of the late actor. We’re promised a lot of new footage, some of it shot by Ledger himself, and it’s all been put together by filmmaker Derik Murray.

The film is getting a limited cinema release in the Us in early May, ahead of »

Latest Movies Reviews and Our Personal Thoughts

7. Inglourious Basterds – Release Date: June 2009

Quentin Tarantino has the ability to evoke passion from audiences. Love him or call him a hack that repeatably steals the visions of other directors for his gain, this auteur has a style all his own…. In his first movie since 2003/2004’s Kill Bill, Tarantino heads to Germany. Nazi Germany.

Starring Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Samm Levine, and Mike Myers (yes, that Mike Myers), Tarantino’s upcoming World War II movie centers on a group of Jewish-American soldiers who scalp and barbarously slaughter Nazis. If that doesn’t say “fun”, I’m not sure what does.

8. Sherlock Holmes – Release Date: November 20, 2009

Coming off two brilliant performances in Iron Man and Tropic Thunder, Robert Downey Jr. will be Sherlock Holmes next Thanksgiving. From director Guy Ritchie (Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch), the legendary detective and his faithful partner Watson (played by Jude Law) must »

The actress' daughter, Matilda Ledger, was only 2 years old when the child's father, Heath Ledger, died of an accidental drug overdose on Jan. 22, 2008. Ledger was 27. The movie he would posthumously win an Oscar for the following year, The Dark Knight, was still months away from its theatrical release, and eventually a trio of actors were enlisted to fill the void in Terry Gilliam's then-unfinished The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. But while Hollywood was devastated by the senseless loss, and people started to dig into the destructive lifestyle Ledger was leading in »
