Storyline

Joe Clayton found his steak like sole-leather and refused to pay for It. However, the proprietor with the aid of a couple of waiters, persuaded him to give up the price. He had a large sandwich sign painted, reading. "Free Meals Today at Guy's Lunch Room" and hired a man to carry it through the streets. Guy's restaurant was soon doing a rushing business and the proprietor was figuring on renting a larger building, when he woke up to see his patrons filing out without paying. Then he caught sight of the sign and knew that Joe had succeeded in "Getting Even." Written by Moving Picture World synopsis
