Didn't we already know what's in blood and iron?

This is the second-to-longest extra on the DVD of Hellboy Animated: Blood and Iron, and one of the only two that have their own pages here on this site. It is indeed a making of documentary on it(as the title might lead you to conclude), and it consists of interviews(with only the crew, none of the cast... so we have to go without the delightfully, charmingly flamboyant, some might say fabulous, Doug Jones, who, by himself, makes the stuff on the Sword of Storms disc worth watching) and clips of the film(some of them ironically edited). There is no real behind the scenes footage, which may have to do with it being animated. They do talk about things related to that, going into color choices, design troubles and conversations about how everything was worked out(the climax, some of the creatures, how the flashbacks were largely added because the script was too short). It's all very interesting and informational, and the 13 minute running time passes smoothly. This is cut well. There is violent and disturbing content in this. I recommend this to anyone who wants to know more about the subject. 7/10
