The Kentucky Military History Museum at the State Arsenal and Frankfort Candle Light Tour. This was the re-opening and dedication of the remodeled/renovated museum. There were dignitaries, prominent families of Veterans, school children, civil and military leaders of both the current and former administrations that all had contributed to running the Commonwealth of Kentucky somewhere in time. These folks wanted to see the former Frankfort Arsenal being used as a place to teach history and learn from the past hoping not to repeat it. As this was Veterans Day, 11 November 2011, it was 11, 11, 11, during the ceremonies. Then the City of Frankfort had many other wonderful events planned during the afternoon and evening. It was logical to document how the city was celebrating the day. This video includes a carriage ride around Frankfort, KY. It was great fun participating in all of these activities. Most American's don't visit a historic capitol city for the full day of Veterans Day celebrations, but this film should give you a good feeling for what it was like 11 November 2011 in Frankfort, KY.
