Killers Prey Online In 'Cyclical Effect'

Michael Wade Johnson and his film company Faux Pas Films (Brimstone and the horror anthologies Killer Shorts 1 & 2) return with a new feature called Cyclical Effect, which is a meld of horror, comedy, and drama. Filming begins in May in the Nashville, Tennessee, area. The cast includes Shannon Sylvia ("Ghost Hunters International"), Bianca Barnett (Albino Farm), Michelle Tomlinson (George's Intervention), Danica DeCosto (The Vampires of Zanzibar), Kayla Perkins ("The Simple Life"), and Melantha Blackthorne (Countess Bathoria's Graveyard Picture Show) as well as newcomer Dustin Risley playing the lead. First Word on Cyclical Effect from Faux Pas Films

Writer/director Michael Wade Johnson got in touch this week to announce that his new project Cyclical Effect from Faux Pas Films is now in pre-production, and we have a brief synopsis and some casting news to share for the film.

First Look at Husk

After Dark Films has really been making a splash since they came on the scene a couple of years ago with the first Horror Fest. Now, with a partnership with SyFy Channel, they are bringing us 8 more horror films with After Dark Originals.

Now that After Dark Originals is getting closer to release, and the company sent along a new pic of the nasty scarecrow from one of the flicks, Husk.

Husk, written and directed by Brett Simmons and based on his same-titled short film, is about a group of friends on a road trip who crash their car after a murder of crows fly into their windshield. Seeking help at a farmhouse surrounded by a desolate cornfield, they’re soon being hunted by an evil presence haunting the area. Solet accepted the award during the ceremony, held at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
