This short later became the first in a trilogy known as "The Ben Wong Trilogy," a series of short films made within several months of one another by Kevin Martin, all loosely connected by the theme of Ben Wong confronting his overactive imagination... and generally losing to it. Marco Polo was followed by "Laundry Day" and "A Little Bit Of Change," both in 2009.
