El viaje de Said

This 12 minute film is very compelling, well worth looking for. In Spanish and Arabic, it tells the dream-like story of a young boy who lives on the Morroccan coast whose father has probably gone missing in trying to cross the Mediterranean to Spain in a "patera".

Said himself, as the title suggests, has a journey of sorts, and runs into all sorts of fascinating characters, who tell him about the dangers that this journey may entail.

While the claymation is quite jumpy and not expertly done, I found the expressiveness of the characters faces to be quite good and enjoyed the animation.
