Storyline

With an end of term dance in the offing, Jamie has a problem - he won't be admitted unless he has something resembling a Grange Hill uniform. He takes bits and pieces of clothing from Nick, Richard and Matthew, and changes in a phone booth. The new addition to the school causes confusion for Mr. Hargreaves, who's not happy about the half-dressed nature of Jamie's friends. Mr. Griffiths presents a gift to Mrs. McClusky: a handmade model of the school made out of lolly sticks! She thanks him, but tells him it will have pride and place indoors as she does not like garden ornaments. Unfortunately, Mr. Hargreaves, ignorant of this preference, drives back to school with a huge stone tortoise, and other ornaments in his car - as a leaving present for her. At his work experience in the Travel Agents, Trevor is surprised to see Georgina turn up with Don and ask for train passes for Europe.
