Did You Know?

Bret: So I'm guessing like, if David Bowie isn't that confident, then maybe - maybe most people aren't that confident? Which means... I'm not gonna worry about being confident.
Dave: Yeah, we don't need to worry about being confident.
Bret: Yeah...
Jemaine: But it's not really him though.
Bret: I know...
Jemaine: It's a dream.
Bret: I know, but...
Jemaine: It's your dream.
Bret: I know it's my dream, but you'd still think he'd be a lot more confident.
Jemaine: Yeah, can I have your biscuit, Bret?

Bret, you got it going on...
9 June 2008 | by (Israel) – See all my reviews

Flight of the Conchords sort of changed its pace after episode five, mainly due to new directors on staff. 'Bowie', the first episode of what I consider the second half of the season, is probably the weakest, or among the weakest, in the entire season, and a lot of people gave up on the series after it. Don't do that - the latter episodes have a bit of a different atmosphere, but there are some great ones there. 'Bowie' too, while it's not quite one of the best, has some fantastic moments, and some great acting from Bret especially. 'Bret You Got It Going On' is a hilarious musical number. 'Bowie's in Space' is the kind of song that works better in live performances, as it was really just tacked on to the end of the episode in a pretty unconvincing manner. Not a great episode really but worth a watch.
