Quotes

The Thief: Maybe only Galileo, when he first pointed his telescope at the sky could understand how I felt at that moment. A life of dreaming and I still could have never thought of all this. Suddenly, I had hope for land, a guitar in my hands, and someone to sing with.

Worth watching!
11 April 2011 | by (Miami, FL) – See all my reviews

Definitely not like something you encounter everyday. I can't believe how low the rating is here at the time of my review (~5)! I rented this on netflix and although there are some corny parts the movie really picks up and the music is great. I'd say its worth giving a chance and enjoying. Gives great insight into Sicilian culture, at least the "campagna" aspect. The plot never drags and those corny parts I mentioned give it a kind of enjoyable amateur charm. Like the other reviewer said, it makes you kind of want to try making your own film. The fighting scenes are priceless and Sicily looks beautiful. Some shots of the hills (colline) really leave you considering a vacation alla Siciliana.
