Trashy cast, trashy tattoos
6 November 2010 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

I couldn't stand KVD when she was on the few episodes of Miami Ink I watched, and honestly, the only episodes of her show I have watched were the ones with Nikki because I've been a fan of Motley Crue since 1982. Even then, I had to take Dramamine first.

She's trailer park trashy, her tattoo work is impressive, but she's still trashy. I rejoiced the day Nikki kicked her star banging butt to the curb for good. I'd never go through what people have to, to have work done at High Voltage, it's a nightmare and you sell your soul for maybe two minutes of screen time, PLUS you still have to pay their exorbitant prices. Nothing beside portrait work seems to be done with any skill there. I prefer another LA tattoo shop where it's about SKILL, TALENT, and no TV drama.

This show is more about high drama than showcasing real, and talented tattoo artists. Trying to make tattoos acceptable for the masses has always left a bad taste in my mouth, and I can't wait until it's no longer a fad that EVERYONE wants to be a part of.

Watch LA INK for the nighttime soap opera action with tattoos, go to BODY ELECTRIC for beautiful tattoos. Nuff said.
