Did You Know?
Goofs
Dena and Samantha were friends up until 7th grade. Samantha's mom says to Samantha, "You haven't spoken to me in 2 years." Dena adds, "20 for me." In the next scene, in the car, Dena is talking about her mother's funeral and says to Samantha, "You insisted that we move the day of the funeral so you could be there. You still didn't come." If they weren't friends, why would Samantha have been involved in the funeral?

Quotes
Samantha:
So I said 'For Heaven's sake, girlie, have a piece of cake! Have two! What, is it going to kill you? It's only cake!'
Andrea:
[

She's diabetic you know.
Samantha:
Oh, for Heaven's sake! Honey, no, no. Spit! SPIT!

As Samantha wakes up in her old room in her parents' house, her mother suggests some bonding rituals she's not crazy about like puzzles. Her old junior high friend Dena drops by and takes Samantha to her job. Samantha complains about her mom to Dena who reveals hers had died awhile back. Bad Samantha had offered to come but didn't. At work, Andrea had told the others that Samantha was in rehab. Sam now also finds out that she is vice president of the company and her secretary takes a bite of the apple before giving it to her boss. And she was scheduled for a boob job today. The meeting was about razing a church to make room for a mall. Samantha objects but the boss overrules her. However, she gets him to change his mind after remembering some of her bad old self (not to mention that Andrea got some choice assignments because of her boob job) and goes back to his office like a bull! As the episode ends, Dena gets some overdue flowers with a condolence note from Sam who later does a puzzle with her mom...This was even funnier than the first episode! Loved also the doorman saying, "We're not friends" after Sam tries to get some advice from him and, after giving a birthday party for her secretary, had to tell her to spit her cake after finding out from Andrea that she's diabetic! The stuff with her ex-boyfriend is the weakest stuff here but I'm still intrigued to see where that goes. Judging from the ratings, I think "Samantha Who?" is the first real big hit of the season.
